2016 has proved to be the year of the political outsider as judged by the traction gained by Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Austin Petersen is hoping to win the Libertarian party primary and give America a third choice.

Petersen touted a recent endorsement from Mary Matalin and compared his candidacy against big-government to one of Beck’s favorite presidents:

“The election now will come down to, should I take the nomination, it will be a Theodore Roosevelt Republican, progressive Republican, make America great again, American nationalism, and then a Wilsonian Democrat. So it’s Theodore versus Woodrow, and I’m going to be out there like Calvin Coolidge saying, ‘Hey, I just want to leave everyone alone.”
